I'm trying to find out the settings for the carb jets. for a 1947 farmall H? the carb was just rebuilt. It runs for about 10 seconds and quits. But fuel is getting to carb.
Thanks,Dave

Fuel is getting TO the carb., but is the fuel getting INTO the carb?

Take it apart, remove and clean the float valve with spray carb cleaner, blow it dry with compressed air and reassemble. Double check the float height setting and also that the float moves freely.

I guess that IF the load adjustment screw is turned all the way in, which it should NOT be, then NO fuel can get into the main stem, and the tractor will not run.

The load screw should be set at 3 turns out (factory initial setting), and the idle/air adjustment screw should be set a 1 1/2 turns out (factory initial setting)

I had more time to hang out hear than usual so I have posted more. Rustyfarmall's info is right out of the tech manual and very important if you don't have the manual. It always impresses me how much information you can get on this site.
