Older IHC Hyd pumps,

are the older IHC hyd pumps worth redoing,
Or should I just go get another one, and then
put it back on and be done with it, as mine is in this guys shop but I dont know if he's got it done yet?

If seals are what is wrong, or end play in the housing is excessive they are worth rebuilding.
If the bushings are bad, the gears will have worn into the case making repair so costly that it is not done. We do not know what model, or what "OLD" is so that is the best info I can provide. JimN

Hi Jim,
Kirk,
I know its on this 51 W-6 standard but ,alas,,,, this one has the optional hyd system on it,
It has the reg W number on the serial plate on left side of clutch housing,
i need hoses, and the little pieces that are in the back on the reserve tank,
I need the lever and actuator on left fender,
plus the small tapered nipples to the lines from the tank,
Ive got the super W-6 manual from jensales
what a blessing to have that,
good pics of all the ancillaries,
and it shows where everything goes,

The hard (metal) parts of system are most likely to be found in salvage yards. Almost no hoses are original, so having them made up is the real solution. Good luck, Jim

The hyd pump seal was leaking oil inside the distributorcap. I changed the seal on both ends of the shaft. Good as new now.

HiJim,
Kirk,
Yea Ok, Ill look in the salvage yards and old tractor places,
and then I can find them,
they shouldnt be too hard to find as by 52 it was pretty common to have hydralics on newer tractors,
