1066 PTO seals

540 pto shaft is leaking, looks like seal is missing, not sure what happened to it. Is the seal on the 1000 output shaft the same as the 540?
Also it appears that you can put the seal on with out removing pto, is that correct or do you have to remove PTO unit?
anyone know where you can find one on a Sunday? trying to get hay baled before Monday.Any ideas to get by for about 2 to 3 hours of running time beside just adding oil and more oil.
The 540 shaft also has movement in and out but no top to bottom movement on the shaft, where as the 1000 shaft has no movement any place, is this a problem

the seal goes in from the inside and you must tear the whole thing apart . Now there is a seal that can be installed from the out side but i have never use one of them .

hy-capacity sales then. i have used them work good . they are a tempery fix well i do have one coustmer that had one on his tractor for some 5 years now. they are a fitting that treads in to the housing where the pto cover fits it has a seal in it. i have yet to figer out why ih put the 1000 rpm seal on out side and the 540 on the inside most often its the 540 one that fails

Vet and all; have used the screw in seal retainer with new seal; clean shaft good first. Work well.
