966 tire wear

Blew a front tire on the 966 yesterday. A four rib 9.5 15.
After removing it I noticed that the outer rib was worn almost completely down. The inner rib was at 90%
I don't see any camber adjustment. Is this just normal wear from turning, or is this a pattern from bad toe setting?
Looks like I better remove the other one and flip it on the rim.
Tractor has a largr DuAl loder on it.

There is no adjustment, but there is positive camber. When turning the wheel on the outside of the turn is even more positive camber, and scrubs some due to steering geometry. A loader assists the wear factor as well. Swapping sides is a good idea. Running more pressure also helps steering and reduces wear. (maybe 10 % more than normal) JimN

Gordon: Tire pressure and toe in are very important. Low pressure coupled with too much toe in will peel the rubber off. Try turning the tires on the rim, so other side is out. Set the toe in so front is 3/16 to 1/4 less at front of axle than behind the axle. Take that measure at axle height. With a tractor that size, got with 50 psi.

Ichecked the toe in .There was none. Both rim to rims the same. With the help of the blue wrench I got it set. Thanks
BTW, new 8 ply tire and tube, a mere $148.70
but, it was a Firestone.

Gordon: Watch the tread wear closely in the next little while, I was going from memory. 1/4" may be a bit too much. Do you notice any difference in handling? Try it both in field and hard road. I always found it was one of those things you had to twek a bit. Too much or too little toe in it will wander on paved roads. When you get it so it will go a 1/4 mile on smooth pavement without steering correction, you have it right.

Just swapping tires from side to side won't achieve anything. The worn rib will still be on the outside.

You need to dismount the tires and flip them over on the rims to get additional wear out of them.
