They don't say what size but I've probably got the screwdriver. I'll go paw through the oddball buckets later and letchya know if I come up with any of the rest of it! ;8^)

That tool would be a great thing to have for some of the old tractors that pee gas all over themselves, causing a fire hazard and ruining the paint.

Apparently, it was released to dealers at the time the gas cap recall/giveaway started.

I'll have to ask at mey dealer's, but I'll bet it get the "WTF look".

Ya, all dealers were issued one of them. I would be willing to bet they have long been forgoten by now though. That recall of gas caps went on for several years as there were many law suits against IH. It is a double baffled, vented cap but it couldn't prevent the guy from opening the cap while smoking a cigarette.

Me and my Super H get into a cuss-fight everytime I wrestle with it to remove the new gas cap for a refill. That red devil usually wins! I'd love to have access to one o' them tools myself....

I can put you in touch with a machinist who reproduces this tool. But they ain't cheap. About $175. Although, if IHCC chapters or tractor clubs bought one they could make it available to members.

Here is one in use:

Scotty - this was a freshly restored cub we were workin' on. The paint was already bubbled from the gas leak. I didn't want to add any dents to that problem. :)

Can sure appreciate that! Only thing any touchier than datin' a fella's daughter is workin' on his car or his tractor. That fella on the right mighta coulda got his hand out of his pocket as a sign of respect for the occasion and the efforts of the mechanic. Fella on the left in the blue seems to have the right and appropriate level of solemnity and attitude about it all. The Big Dog in the middle is obviously focused on the tool and the successful outcome, and oblivious to any distraction.

It does remind me of that picture of the bunch of us over at the Knob gathered around MM's Cub with Pastor Ron officiatin' as Stretch, Titan, DickL and I were all down on one knee with heads bowed ponderin' how to change a wheel bearin' without bustin' the carrier.

Great pics, both of 'em!
