IH I-9 serial number question

My nephew just bought an IH I-9. The serial number has a suffix of Y14. Does anyone know what Y14 stands for? Can"t find that in any of my books. Thanks

You sure that's not X14, which is starting or lighting. As you say, Y14 does not seem to be listed. Y15 is Army Air Corps, a common destination for an I9.

Yes, we thought it might be an X14 too, but it sure looks like Y14. Looks to be factory duals, wonder if that has anything to do with it? On the dual subject, does anyone know where to look for used tires for this - size is 1300-32.

my father has an I-9 with duals we just picked up late last fall and it has the duals on it with the big cast iron spacers we needed a rim ring and got one from someone on here I remember him telling me he had a set of 32 inch tires for sale his name was wardner nice guy just happened he was only about 50 miles away from us have not got the duals all mounted to the tractor yet got to take the govener apart its sticking until you tap it with a hammer don't have any decals or emblems on this tractor it was painted with a brush over dirt and grease if you have any pics of yours could you post them or email them

Dave, Send me an email and I will send you pictures of the I-9. My email is open. Would also like to see pictures of yours, and also would like more info on the tires you know of. This I-9 has the heavy cast extensions for the duals too. Dan
