10-20 on ebay

There is a 10-20 on ebay you should go check out. Buy it now price is at $999,000. I dont think it is even painted the rite color is it, it is painted farmall red, i thought that the 10-20s were gray with red wheels, or at least mine is. Them tractors are not that rare to warrant that kind of a price tag is it?
 
He must be drinking some bad hooch juice to think he can get that kind of money. There's better looking 10-20's for sale than his for a lot less money. You could have one completely restored with the right color scheme for a fraction of what he's asking. Hal
 
Kirk,10-20 were never made in 1936,they were prior to that.I think 1923 -32 but Im not sure of these years,if someone painted any thing red prior to 37 it was their choice and not the factorys.The color changed in Nov of 36 but these were actually still on the assembly lines and on the lots and were numbered as 37s

James, 10-20s were most certainly made in 1936. They were made from 1923-1932 & 1934-1939, according to Guy Fay's IH tractor data book. IH's fiscal year started on Nov. 1, so you are correct in that tractors made from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 1936 would have been 1937 models.
 
According to IH production figures (see "Milwaukee Works 1905-1963") there were over 5700 10-20 tractors built after 1st November 1936 (the day they went red) The last was built some time in October 1939, the serial number 1st October was KC 215967. In 1939 the production started at KC 215225 and they produced of the order of 750 tractors in 1939.
