i got a super a that had been sitting under a shed for a long time that im trying to get going.the mag makes a good click when hand cranked, held the coil wire withmy hand ,no fire at all.what now fellas. thanks in advance. Luther

Start with the points and condenser and work your way back. It may be as simple as just polishing the points with a folded-up dollar bill, especially if they sat open for any length of time. That's fairly easy to do. Condenser means dismounting the mag.

Rub the points with some 320 wet or dry then see if have fire to the plugs. Check the gap too should be .013" on a mag. Hal

you may need to remove the points from the mag and actually use a file on them. this way you can get a nice clean square contact surface so you are able to set them correctly.you dont get an accurate point adjustment on pitted points.rubbing them with emery or wet and dry does not always work, to me thats like washing your windshield with newspaper.went through this experience last week with the same mag.
