400 diesel pump

if i leave the diesel on it runs in the pump running or off, then into the crankcase and thins the oil. is there some seals,o-rings,or gaskets that need replaceing and can i do it.

Seals are still available from IH, at least they were a couple yrs ago when I did mine. There's a seal in the primary(transfer) pump that lets the fuel leak into the main pump body, and also one on the front of the main pump that lets it leak into the engine crankcase.

If you go to Red Power forum and do a search for posts made by a guy called "mb_cat" or something similar, there's a post complete with good color pictures and part numbers for changing the transfer pump seal, and even has pics of the tool the guy made to pull the old seal out. Good Luck!
