rear axle clamp bolts farmall H

Hello i removed 2 boken axle clamp bolts and went to a local hardware store to get new bolts.Is grade 5 ok to use or should i try to locate grade 8. thanks

I would think for an axle, the stronger the better.

My thoughts are that Grade 5 is fine for this application.

I would use a little anti-seize on the reinstallation if it were me.

i have been using Never seize on every bolt i touch on that tractor.I love that stuff ,works great.

The originals less than grade 5 so so will be fine.
