Does the shop manual for the M and/or 300 cover in detail the Hydraulic systems for both these models or do I need to purchase a seperate publication? Thanks

I have a shop manual for an M and it is does not cover the 300 lift. I'm not sure if the Super M-TA with live lift is close to the same as the 300. Maybe some one else will know.

The IT manual covers multiple tractors. The Tractors are way different. The M (SMTA) is the basis for the 400, the SH is the basis for the 300.

Original manuals do not cover both, but are much more specific. The M hydraulics (even SMTA) are much different than the 400, or 300 for that matter.

As stated by Jim, the M preceded the 400, H the 300. The M has a belly pump, the 300 a live pump in front of the distributer. So, IH has a manual for each. The I&T manual has a manual for all the letter series (IH 8), and another manual for the 300 thru 450(IH 10).

Appreciate the replies, that helps. I have a 300, inherited a M from Dad that he nearly restored. Rund great. Thanks much.
