1066 Hydraulic Problems

Have a 1066 with gear drive transmission, that is giving me a fit. Was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. The same pump operates the hydraulics, steering, brakes and TA. When parked on level ground or nose down hill, you can start the engine and everything works. If you park nose uphill or drive up a steep hill nothing works. When everything is working properly the pump pressure checks within specs. The oil and filter has been changed, the pump has been pulled and inspected and new gaskets and o-rings installed. The oil is filled to the correct level. It appears that the pump is sucking air when the nose is up hill, but I cannot find out where. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well the only place that it could suck that much air is the o/ring between the range transmission and the speed transmission and to fix it will require a split between the to . On it also could be that the scution tube in the rear end has a crack in it or the seal is so bad that it is not sealing at all and when you are going up hill the fluid runs away from the ft of the suction tube ' So you have two choise's here one is you can split her and replace the gskt and O/ring and see if that fixes it then if it does not the ya may want to pull the rock shaft housing and look at the suction tube
Of just dump five more gallon of hy tran in it and see if that fixes it
