Super A and a PTO Hydrau;lic pump

I want to put a Prince PTO hydraulic pump on my Super A. Has anyone put one on their Super A? It looks (based on the measurements at the Prince Pump web site) like the pump might hit the belt drive housing. Or maybe I could just remove that belt drive housing? Another way I might be able to get a little more clearence is if somone sells a short PTO extension of about 6".

I would remove the belt pulley drive if you don't need it - all it takes is a cover plate over the hole, I believe.

An extension would hang the pump back further, putting more stress on the bearings - those old PTO shafts weren't made to hold up much weight.

If you didn't need a lot of flow, you could put a belt drive pump from the belt pulley like mine:
