outside dual flat 806

Similar to Randy in Ia, I have a flat on the outside dual my 806. I'm tempted to raise the inside dual by running on top of a couple 4X4's and trying to break the bead on the outside dual with my skidloader. Anybody ever try this??? My health insurance should be paid up.

I have a bead breaker that you use a 1/2 inch impack on. 1 screw attaches to the rim and the other screw with a foot pushes the bead off.
I have never tried to push one off like your doing. What have you got to loose if it works it will be easy. If not just sweat a little and get her done.

Rusty: Outside dual, much better than inside. You'll find it quite hard to break the bead on duals still on the tractor. I used to do it with singles, never had much luck with duals.

I had a young lad disking new cleared land with 1066. Land broken out of forest. I noticed him stopped and went to investigate. Someone had been using that forest for dumping old building materials. Bulldozer with root rake had burried it, but not deep enough. He had both 20.8x38 on one side flat, thankfully no chloride. We were miles from no where, had to manually load those tires and rims on pickup. Tire shop 10 miles away was our closest option. Got there at 4:30 PM, manager said if need those tonight, you best run uptown and buy the tire guy a bottle of whiskey. I did and we had the wheels back on the tractor by 8PM, Fri night.

This was a young lad that actually wanted to work Sat. Kidding him I said you've been averaging 75 hours per week, surely you could miss one Sat., and I'll come here with skidsteer in morning to handle the wheels. He said, "I'm going to University this fall, I need the money." I said, "Your dad can dig in the mouldy stash and spring for some of that." He came back, "Dad's money comes with Mom's instructions." I knew his mother, had her for a teacher in grade 8, boy had a good point. I tell you, young lads like that are hard to come by anymore.
