Electrical Problem - Fuse Block on 3688

I'm finally getting at sorting out some electrical issues in the cab of my 3688.

I accessed the fuse block for the first time and ran into quite a mess.

Several of the fuse sockets are melted out. I expect the previous owner tried to solve an electrical problems by installing 30 amp fuses where 5 amp fuses were required.

I would like to start out with a proper diagram of the fuse block. Can anyone help me out with this.

Also, does anyone have any tips on tracking down the root cause of the blown fuses?

So far, I have been too cheap to buy the operators manual. Is this diagram in the manual?

Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunatelly , the melting of the fuse block is a common problem. Too many lights on tractor for that style of fuse holder to handle and same for the cab relay which is the other problem fuse. Co. recommended repair is remove fuse holder, locate affected wire, cut them off and install circuit breakers. 50 series were same only harder to work in that area due to the sentry being mounted in there. As far as replacing the fuse holder assembly itself, it is a real night mare and you may have same problem all over again. Short circuits will pop a fuse right now, where as a heavily loaded circuit will over heat the contacts fuse fits in and eventually melting it out.

Good information. Now all I need to know is the proper amperage for the given circuts and I should be able to fake something.

Does anyone have a diagram?
