I know someone here has a grain truck or dump truck, I am looking for the curb weight,[what it weighs] on a 1975ish loadstar single axle truck, just need a approx weight to see what size truck and trailer I need to get here home,, thansk pat

Somewhere between 10,000# and 15,000# depending on the length of the bed, standard frame or heavy duty double frame, etc.

thanks rustyfarmall,,,this has a 8 foot bed on here so I would assume a short frame,, thanks for the info, at least I have a spot to start,, pat

Those medium duty trucks could be spec'ed out with so many different options that it is nearly impossible to quote an exact weight, but with an 8 foot bed, I'd guess it closer to 10,000#.

Like the others mention "it depends".

We had a pair with 16' grain dump bodies and gas engines. Empty but ready to go one scaled a tad over 12,000 lb; the other was about 12,600.

By your question I assume you have a steel be dsingle axle dump, not a grain bed. An all steel bed will outweigh a wood side and bed grain bed so I'd figure on 7 to 8 tons.
