need to know what year model my tractor is

I've got a lot of reference stuff around and just happen to know that FAA indicates an A or SuperA. The range of your serial number (quite high) suggested a Super A, and then it was just a matter of looking the number up to determine the year.

Without having all the references to even get a starting point . . . you did just what I would have done which was to ask. Armed with the model, you can click on the link to serial numbers over on the left side of this page and then look up serial numbers to determine the year.

They're available as regular hardware goods from any number of sources. If you have a Fastenal store in your area, that'd be a good place to start. I can also recommend Earnest Machine Products who can be found with a quick google.

I'll suggest that you go ahead and get new nuts and lock washers while you're at it.

Overall, hold your breath and clap a lid on your surprise. Especially in small lots, you'll find them to be quite precious, i.e., not cheap.

What you're looking for are Grade 5, 5/8" NC x 3" bolts and the nuts and lock washers to go with them. NC indicates coarse, as opposed to fine, thread, and Grade 5 is the standard -- ungraded bolts are usually Grade 2 (too soft/not tough enough) and Grade 8 is too brittle for the application. The specs in the parts catalog are for 2-3/4" long but you won't find them. The 3" will be fine.
