Farmall 560 Tachometer

Hey guys, I posted a day or two ago about whether tachometers between the 460 and 560 were interchangeable as well as whether gas and diesel tachometers were interchangeable. I got a response indicating that all should be compatible, and one indicating that the feed cable for the tachometer rotated opposite directions on gas and diesel engines. I appreciate these replies, but I would appreciate some more info in hopes of coming across the "right" answer.

They all rotate the same direction. It makes no difference whether it is gas or diesel, the same part number is listed for both.

There are different part numbers listed for 460 versus 560 so I would guess they have different face plates. Probably different MPH versus engine RPM.

Thanks, Rotation was my main concern because I always check the mph vs. rpm because some of the ones advertised as "replacements" are not correct.
