MTA hydraulic pump

Here is where I am at with getting the lift-all working on the MTA. I was working under the assumption that the front mounted hydraulic pump was operating, but when I hooked up my remote cylinder it did not operate it thru the live hydraulics. Where it spent the winter it would not be obvious but I believe the hydraulic fluid leaked significantly thru a hose fitting as there is fluid on the cement under the tractor where it now sits. My question is, since before I found out my reservoir was so low I was working the lift-all control back and forth, is it likely I have damaged the pump? It worked well last fall.
The leak is not a major short term issue and I can handle fixing it. At the moment I am just worried about my pump.

Thanks for any responses you might have had BUT...a little less worrying, a little more fluid, a lot more reading...and I'm out in the field mowing!

Good news!

To answer your question... As long as there is SOME fluid in the system, ANY fluid at all, you won't do damage to the pump. There's enough to lubricate the pump, which is what's important.

Yessir...and thanks! Just had to hitch up me britches and figure it out. Works smooth now and I just mowed a test patch and it looks like we are good to go when the rain stops.
