Hello. I was wondering if IHC had any material shortages during the WWII and had to change there tractors. I know that for instance John Deere had cast iron frames because of the steel shortage. Did they only get so much material to build tractors. Any help you all can give me sure will help. I have a 1943 McCormick-Deering M and just wanted to know if they were a little different. THANKS MUCH

I THINK (but do not know for sure) that not only were rubber tires not always available but that
starters, generators, batteries, lights might not have been available, in order to save on critical materials. Anybody know for sure?
