Hydrostatic Drive and Remote Hydraulics

I am looking at a International 250A , 70 hp, hydrostatic, British built, Industrial with 3 pt hitch and live PTO. It does not have remote hydraulics, is there any way to add them? Many of these tractors had loaders, did they use a PTO pump and seprate tank or the transmission? How do the IH farm tractors with Hydro. and remotes work?

Bill:
The IH tractors that were hydro used a pump for the 3 point aprox.6 gpm and a seperate pump for the remote hyd. and power steering aprox. 12 gpm. I would guess the remotes could be added as long as pump was present in rear.... Hydro's used there own pump but shared the hy-tran oil w/ the rest of system. Good luck!

I am afraid with the 250A you either have live PTO or remote hydraulics. The 250A's with loaders seem to not have PTO. I presume they attach the hyd. pump to the PTO shaft.

Thanks for the reply.
