Hi Folks
I have acquired an old wd9. The engine is locked and I was trying to gain access to the cylinders through the spark plugs. As the valves from the spark plug area seems to be closed I tried moving the lever for the fuel switch over. It does not move also. When sitting in the seat the lever is in the forward position. Is this the diesel selection?

I will next just pull the injectors to get access to the engine for a look. What is the best way to unlock old motors.

someone said rislone , has anyone else had luck with this.

If I cannot unlock the engine it may become a lawn ornament.

the left hand lever is the gas/diesel change over. down is gas position, up diesel.to get lubricant in cylinders you would have to blow it in with a syphon gun and have the lever on diesel selection.or you could remove the injectors and then just pour it in.you wont see anything by removing injectors.best way to get down to the problem is remove the head and make your decision, if above fails. oiling cyls.only works on lightly stuck pistons.you may need disassembly and o/h.

A tip I was given and it worked well is, after you've had the cylinders soaking for a while, take the starter off, and using a big prybar, attemp to turn the motor in the opposite direction of normal rotation.
