Just curious if anyone in the North East (Pennsylvania region) planted any corn yet? My fields are soaked and it"s raining again today.

I got mine in the last week of April. It's been cool and rainy here around Williamsport since then. Nothing's out of the ground yet.

i tried my new to me planter out on saturday. but havnt put any real seed in the ground yet. be few days after the good shower we got last night.

A good share of corn has been planted in upstate New York. April, west of Albany was dry. Alfalfa seedings are up also. Light drizzle last night that drove the top dressing in a bit.

I planted 1/4 lb of sweet corn on April 28. It is not up yet, I did find some that had sprouted. I'll wait another week to plant the rest of the sweet corn and field corn. We have had rain the last 7 days.

Not where you are but all the rain storms we got were headed up your way. I am in west central IN and the few guys who did get stuff planted are talking they may have to replant. One gut said they planted all day long with big equipment and WILL have to replant as those fields flooded a couple weeks back. They said on the local news the other night that we are 3 weeks behind normal planting time. Personally, I am well past liking rain. at least till we get none for a couple months like I have a gut feeling like will happen later this year.
