Tractor Model

I am still confused with the model of my tractor, the seriel number places it as a 1952 Farmall Super C in the 131157 - 159129 number range.

Prefix letters FSC (Farmall Super C) should be on my ID plate if this is the case.
However the idenification plate on my tractor is stamped FC

I believe FC stand for (Farmal C)
Can someone explain,Thanks!

THE PREFIX OF FC WAS USED ON BOTH THE SUPER C AND THE C- I BELIEVE THE FC STOOD FOR FARMALL CORP, THE C WAS MADE FROM 48 TO 51 AND THE SUPER WAS MADE FROM 51 TO 54. HOPE THIS HELPS

Both the C and the Super C used a prefix of FC in the chassis serial number and FCM on the motor number.

All of the A-M series Farmalls prior to the Supers had an F at the beginning of the prefix. If they were made and shipped as Internationals (as opposed to Farmalls) that F became an I, which was most common in, maybe even exclusive to, the As. I don't know if the I was used on bigger models that were shipped outside the US and labeled as Internationals or not.

When the Supers came along, the A and C kept the F/I at the front, while the H and M changed over to an S along with other changes.

The part that differentiates the C from the Super C on the serial tag is the number itself.

A C will have a serial number < 100,000

A Super C will have a serial number > 100,000
