I have sparks coming up the pull/start rod when Its turning over and sparking on the tinwork hole that the rod comes through. IT is puzzling is the starter shorting or backfeeding?? maybe its the Starter post insulater ?? Where could I get parts??

Your friendly neighborhood CaseIH dealer will also have the switch.

I have seen them at Tractor Supply as well.

Where is the ground cable for the battery fastened? When starting the battery could attempt to create a ground path through any other metal that runs from the engine to the framework if the ground connection or cable is not in decent condition.
Run a good ground from the engine directly to the battery and see if your sparks go away!

Had that happen once on a Super M.

Problem turned out to be a bad ground (fresh paint) between the starter and the flywheel housing. Instead of grounding thru the starter mounting flange, return current flowed from the starter housing to the switch enclosure then up the pull rod and grounded to pull rod bracket on the steering post.

Before you start buying parts do as Wayne suggests: Run a jumper cable between the grounded battery post and the starter house and see if the sparking disappears.
