WHY can't I get this to work?

Last week I loaded a bunch of cheap items on my trailer, put a FOR SALE and price sign on the items. Chained and locked the trailer to the tree. I told my neighbor if I'm away and someone steals these items, don't stop him or report him.

These items include a pickup cap, and several old spray tanks and other assorted items. I'm going on the same premice as a guy not far from me. He put his old push lawn mower out for garbage pickup. Three weeks went by and the garbage truck didn't take the lawn mower. He decided to put a for sale sign on the mower. That night someone stole it.

You might put it on Craigslist too. ;)

In fact you might put it all on the free section of craigslist. I got rid of a junk woodstove, guy took time off from work to come and get it...

Neighbor was trying to give away a couple of coon hound pups. Tried everything, no luck. Finally put an add in the Mo. trappers paper. For Sale, $300. sold them right away.

It's called psychology!!

Erik: My good better half doesn't like the look of it, must admit I'm starting to agree with her. Then I had to move it Sat. to mow the grass.

Neighbors were shopping the classifieds for an RV.He says " this looks like a good deal, call and set up a time to look at it." When the seller answered, she said "I am calling about the motorhome you are selling,,,,,,why is it so cheap?" They bought it and every time we traveled with them he would tell it on her again. When you think about it,it's more fun when the girls are hard to get or there is risk involved.

Up here... If I want to get rid of something... I just put it by the road with a sign that says FREE... a couple of times the people who stopped to take the junk took the danged FREE sign too...

I think the mowers are like the refrigerators and stuff. Trash people won't take them till the tanks and gas and oil are all removed. To avoid polution in the landfill and blowing up the truck/landfill.

A neighbor had a huge pile of decorative yard/garden rocks and put an ad for anyone to haul them away free. No takers. A few weeks later he advertise yard/garden rocks $25 a pkup load. The rocks were all sold within a week!

We had a yard sale a few years ago. My wife put out an old sewing machine, every couple of hours she dropped the price until by the end it was twenty-five cents. Finally I put a Free sign on it and someone grabbed it within ten minutes. Twenty-five cents was too much...
