Hello. I am looking for a reprint or a copy of a 1943 Farmall M operators manual. Any earlier version will be O.K. Please let me know if you all have any that you can email me or were I can purchase a copy. All I have seen so far are the later ones. THANKS

The later copies are ok, no major changes in the tractor between 1943 and the end of production in 1952. Someone may have an older one to sell, but all the reprints are the last edition printed, or close to it. I have a 41 H that the 1953 version works fine for.

CNKS: Very ocasionally the reverse of your situation does not work. Super A is one case, early ones had cutout relay and late models voltage regulator. That is not all, the Super A saw more upgrades during it's production than all other offset models combined. Most of it is before and after 1951, and the manual was changed at least twice.

Good reprints, reliable service, situated North England, export world wide. I can recommend. MTF

The Operator's manuals are changed slightly for as long as the tractor is in production. The manual for my Stage 2 Super H is for a Stage 2, the battery is shown under the seat, and the belly pump on the Stage 1 is not mentioned. My Super A, C, H and M Operators manuals cover both the magneto and cutout, and the distributer and voltage regulator, I suppose because the mags were an option on the later models. My 460U Operator's manual covers only the bare essentials and leaves a lot of stuff out that IMO should be covered, such as clutch adjustment, etc. It would be nice if Binderbooks, etc would copy manuals for every year, probably cost prohibitive.

Hugh, will change part of the above. My Super A manual from Jensales, that I purchased before I knew who they were, has only the magneto mentioned. My C manual from Binder Books has instructions for both the magneto and distributer. Another reason not to buy from Jensales.

CNKS: I guess in the case of Super A probably the upgrades have more impact on service manuals rather than operator's manuals. I'm thinking of the front end and tyrod change in 51, change from 251069 to 354898 block also in 51, then pressurized radiator at serial number 336711 in 53. Final drives changed about the same time to same type as 100,130, etc., and finally the SA1 at serial number 356001.
