IH C was out mowing in pasture when saw leak. There was watercoolant coming out of fly wheel housing. Anyone have idea what is going on.

You may have a expansion (freeze) plug leaking. It was common in cars and trucks too. Probably need to split the the tractor to fix it. Hal

You will have to split the tractor as the frost plug is leaking after you get the tractor split you will see the plug. After removing the plug now would be a god time to remove the lower outlet going to the radiator and flushing the lower part of the block ans there is without a doubt lots of crud in that passage. There are some small nickel sized holes that let the coolant by the sleeves down to the lower part of the block and they can get plugged over the yrs. You will be able to clean out the passages with high pressure water and compressed air.

You are not alone. I have an A and a SMD with the same problem. Splitting the A is not too bad but the SMD....that will be some fun. I know it is referred to as "a mechanic in a bottle" but I'm going to flush the cooling system out and then throw a can of Barrs Leak in and see what happens. The worst thing that can happen is that it doesn't work and I have to split it anyway. LOL!
