300 Utility - torque amplifier v.s. independent PTO

Hello, I towed home the latest 'gem' yesterday which is a very hard up 300 utility. It has the torque amplifier, fast hitch, but doesn't appear to have an independent PTO (it has much the same PTO housing as an H). I'm wondering if I do decide to do it up (it may yet become a parts tractor) is it possible to add the independent PTO or would I have to change the entire rear end? (If I'm thinking correctly I would need the clutch pressure plate, transmission input shafts, and the PTO unit on the rear of the tractor)
Thanks, Sam

Does it have Power Steering? If it does and your going to part it out let me know. I'm interested in the PS sector housing.

I have a 300 parts tractor with PTO and Torque Amplifier. Let me know if you are interested in parts or if you want the whole thing.

Thanks,

Joe

It doesn't have power steering and as I'm up in Canada I imagine you're too far away for it to be worth it for either of us :(

Needed, shaft- clutch plate to T/A, Shaft and gear-pto drive, pto driven gear, Splinded coupling or pto disconnect parts, pto shaft that passes through trans counter shaft, Housing and bushing for rear of previous shaft, exstention shaft with 2 couplings, pto unit. pressure plate with splines, may have them already. Bunch of work.

This is a new one for me. I thought 300/350U's only came with IPTO. If it has a PTO it is a independent. I Know some came without pto but if it has one it is independent. I think, probably wrong but l Only show one pto in my book.

Thanks for all the info. I'll have to wait and see wether I decide to restore the tractor or part it. Right now I'm leaning towards parting it. That said I just hate to part a tractor. Sam
