purchase farmall Cub

Hello i may purchase a 1948 farmall cub,no hydraulics for $500 that does not run.I did a compression test and all cylinders were very low,typically 50 psi.I dont know if the engine was ever bored out and if it was at maximum bore with the non removable sleves,what options do i have at that point? Has a good spark with mag and rebuilt carb.Can hydraulics be added? Thanks

My dad has a 1948 cub that fouls the plugs in about 30 minutes of running. Can anyone tell me what the compression should be for good running condition?

hello,i know you need 70 lbs minimum to run. A good engine should have about 100lbs. Does your dads engine blow smoke out the exhaust? It could be a few things if it does.
