generator belt for Farmall 200

I need a generator belt for my Farmall 200 and the belt is missing so I have no idea what size I need. No local IH dealer and if they mail it to me the postage cost is more than the cost of the belt. Same goes for online orders. Can anyone give me the size so that I can just order from IBT or an autoparts store? Thanks.

Now come on i can not believe that there is not a Case I H dealer that will not ship a belt to you for less then the cost of the belt . Where in the heck do you live . As for the size i am sorry that i do not know as i am lucky as our local dealer is 8 miles from my door here at the house and was 4 miles from my old shop.

Depends on serial number, which MAY have to do with two different types of generator.

Two years ago I was needing the fan belt for the same tractor and called the Case IH dealer who is 50 miles away. They did not have it in stock and ordered it. All told it cost more to ship than the cost of the belt. If a person goes online you run into the same thing. I am learning that it pays to have items like that on hand. I use this tractor with a Woods belly mower to mow my yard. Used it last night to do some mowing and almost need floats on it. Since Sunday I have had 5.5" of rain and more predicted for today and the weekend.

Thanks for the help and information. Looks to me like one is a combination belt that runs everything and the other is for a two belt system like mine has. Need to keep a list of the serial numbers for the tractors and equipment at work for situations like this. I am not a big fan of the NAPA belts but if I have a number I can go elsewhere and get one. Once again, Thanks for your help.

A couple of other numbers that might help.

Looking at the IH parts listings, the belt that goes with the conventional looking generator had an IH part #52318DA.

The alternative was with a generator that had fins on the front like an alternator normally does. The IH number for the belt to go with that was 367697R1.

Get a piece of the right width rope and wrap it around the pulleys and mark with a felt tip pen. Then measure that and order by length and width.

There were two different sizes of drive pulleys from the fan. If you have the larger pulley, about 4 1/2 inches, you will need the longer belt. If the pulley is about 3 inches you will need the shorter belt. NAPA has both.
