When I store my tractors, lawnmowers, or anything that I don't want mice getting into, I use Bounce fabric softners. I place them all over the engine, on the tires, on the seats, and if it's a car, or truck, Iput them all over in side. In all the years I have done this, never had a problem with mice.

Here the birds want to build nest in the space between the radiator and the engine block. Will Bounce work to drive them away? I also have a problem with dirt dabber's (solitary wasp) filling all the bolt holes. Any suggestions.

For years Bounce has been a known deterent for mice and also Irish Spring soap bars. We had a tuff winter here in swmichigan and I put Bounce in everything in the barn. So for the first time the critters got into our cars and stole the engine compartment insulation from under the hoods.

For dirt dobbers in the threaded holes, put a bolt or set screw in them. The socket of the set screw is too shallow for them to want to nest in. The holes were originally plugged with cork from the factory.

I put moth balls in the cabinets out in my shop to keep the mice from getting in and chewing up the rubber parts, wiring, packaging, etc. Seems to be very effective. Moth balls SHOULD not be used in tractor cabs, or inside your car or truck unless you remove them and allow that smell to air out before driving.
