just got back from a service call on a 706 that i sold 15 years ago and NO THERE WAS NO WARRANTY LEFT . The guy parked it is a shed over winter and went to get it out and nothing he installed a new battery and still nothing . I get this call and the first words out of his mouth was HELP , tractor won't do nothing . Them MECESS did the number on the wiring harness From the carb to the alt. to the dash .Hungry little critter ate clean thru the 8 ga hot wire from the alt to the hot post on the starter. Good thing that when parked he pulled the battery as they ate thru that wire wright next to the fuel tank and why it did not short out when he put the new battery in only god knows for sure on that one as i don't . So Boys check your wiring after letting them set .

Couldn't have been the factory installed meeses. Everbody knows the factory installed meeses never leave the clutch area, and besides they quit installing meeses after the letter series tractors.

My Uncle spends his winters in mexico. I stop by his place from time to time to check on things. Went up a week or so ago. Moved his '06 GMC pickup to pull a trailer into the barn, well, long story, but the critters did a number on it! Got into my Aunts Car too. The truck had insurance on it so that is only $500 for the deductible, but they had pulled insurance off the car for the winter. The shop says it is gonna be over $5000 for the repair on it. Dang!

I have a neighbor who had to vehicles (one his and one the company vehicle he drives) Vandalized
by squirrels. Did 2-3,000 damage on each one. They chewed about every wire they could find. On the pickup he went to start it and had nothing, so he opend the hood and ther sat a squirel on the engine kind of laughingat him Didn't last too long though. "Spiced" corn thinned them out.

I don't keep any cleaning rags laying out in the my mini-barn. Had a hard time getting all of this out off my garden tractor. Had to pull the head so I could get behind the fan shroud. I then used compressed air on it after getting all this in 2007. No wires were chewed. Hal

When I first met my wife . She had a snowmoblie from her first marriage. We went to pick it up at her ex's. A few days later wI went to start it ,It started Ok Ran a few minutes and then quit. Pulled it iver and over and nothing. Pulled the plugs and it looked like there was garvel in the plugs. It turned out to be dog food the mice filled the air bos with kibble and when the engine started it sucked a few small pieces into the engine. I claened out air box and cleaned out the carbs and started it up again. It ran fine again, but after a while i could smell something burning so I stopped it and checked around couldn't see anything. I started it back up to check it out some more and saw some smoke comming from the exhaust. I shut it off and looked agian and shook the muffler and could hear this rattle, so I removed the muffler and it was full of kibble also the mice were gone but their stash was still there.
