I have a super c that i have to change the belt pully seal on,Would it be 90wt gear lube in the trans-diff case?

The seal against the tractor is a gasket, CIH did not carry it when I tried to buy one so I made one from blank stock. If there are shims they will probably be needed to keep the gear mesh right. I put gasket seal between each of the shims as I put it back together. The seal at the end of the belt drive depends on centrifugal force to seal rather than a pressure seal. There is no grease seal between the spacer and the shaft. The oil seal does little with the grease spun to the outside walls of the housing. I have been told that the shims between the bearing housing and the body of the belt pulley will not leak, but I still put silicone between every shim. If you do not have a pulley on the belt pulley shaft you must use a blank cover to hold the spacer in. Without it nothing except friction holds the spacer in place. The blank covers are hard to get and I have made them from 1 1/4" round fence post. Use a pipe cutter and cut it to 2 1/16". Spacers are avaliable from CIH. Do not overfill with oil as there is no oil seal against the belt pulley shaft and oil will leak out if you fill above the level of the shaft.
