IH 986 Transmission Park Trouble

I have a IH 986 that will barely shift into park. Once it does, it will slip and the tractor still rolls when on an incline. Can anyone give me some idea of what needs to be fixed? I believe it to be the "Park Prawl" possibly? I have heard the lever in the transmission can wear out.

Thanks

Well the first place to start is the cab mounts then the shift linkagand then i would pull the top cover off the range transmission and see if maybe the spring broke or the three bolts that hold the park pawl to the top cover may be loose or i have found them in the hyd filter when they have fallen out and it is just hanging by one bolt on one or two threads

Thanks for the insight. I checked the mounts and all seem solid, and in great shape. The tractor is always kept inside. All bolts were tight, but I haven't taken the cover off yet. It shifts fine, not to hard or anything. Just won't seem to fully go into Park, and rolls.
