is there ant small backhoe units that could mounted on the back of a farmall 450?

Howard,

I think Woods might make one that will fit, but you will need to have a three point hitch on the tractor to mount it on.
There may also be other manufacturers, all will probably be three point mount up.
You should also check to see if your 450 puts out enough hyd. pressure.
