Set all winter put fresh gas in, started, ran out of gas, now will set for a while then start for A few moments and acts like it runs out of gas again, let it set for a few hours then starts back up for A few moments.

Is the fuel valve under the tank on fully?
Is the flow to the carb supply fitting strong?
Is the flow from the needle and seat good?
I think it is a fuel flow problem. JimN

Is there such A thing as fuel filter, I don't know much about tractors, but that is what it acts like. We put fresh gas in and it started up after setting all winter, ran well for A couple of hours, and then ran out of gas (gauge is broken) it sit all night put gas in this morning, ran 1 minute and stopped, let it sit for a couple of hours and it starts back up for A minute. thanx for your help, you have helped me before.

Gas flow will be found to be restricted. The sediment bowl and shutoff below the tank will be needing to be cleaned. (possible plugging in the screen at the carb as well). Running out of fuel will loosen assorted material. Do not put a filter on it. A gravity feed system like this is designed to operate with a strainer/screen, and sediment bowl. JimN
