Hello,
I need to mow soon and ill have to mow in the swamp. I need to install the tire chains on
my 67 IH Cub. What is the safest wa to get them on. Where is the best place to jack it up in the rear so I dont break something. What is your opinion on this?
Thanks
Harry
It has turf tires and a 6 Ft IH mower and wheel weights

On the big tractors we always just throw the chains over the tires, then pull the tractor ahead, driving over the chains. Latch 'em up, drive around a little, tighten them down, drive around a little more, and tighten them down again.

When I put them on my Super-C this past fall, I laid them on the floor in my garage, and drove the tractor ahead onto the chains. I lifted the "front" of the chains up and over the tire, and let gravity hold them in place while I lifted the shorter "rear" section behind the tire up and into place, then drove back and forth, re-tightened, drove, tighten, etc.

For small tires like that I like to let some air out and make em kinda soft and drive on the chains after they are laid out. I get the chains on as tight as I can and then add air to tighten em more.
