international 424 problem

I have a 424 that one of the spark plugs is always wet with oil. Just wondering what could cause the problem. It also skips, every now and then. I think the float sticks. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

There are two possible sources, the intake valve, or the rings on that cylinder. Both are equally likely. If it is not smoking much, I might consider running it the way it is. Until it fouls the plug enough to misfire on that cylinder continually, it will be OK. A hotter plug in that cylinder alone might assist in reducing fouling.
If you use the tractor hard, it might be OK as is.
Good luck, JimN

Might just be a worn valve guide leaking oil. You could pull the valve cover off and install a seal on it in less then an hour and it might fix the problem.
