Super C - Needing Help to remove plate over transmission

I"m trying to dig into my Super C to probably replace the left rear axle (broken), but I"m having an issue with breaking the seal/gasket on the floor plate(cover over transmission & rear end). Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

FYI - I have everything unbolted, seat & platform are off, steering wheel column with gauges is off, etc.

try prying with a pry bar or thin screwdriver...try a sledge but be careful because of it being cast, go from side to side and front and back. they can be tricky and "growed on" but it will come. good luck!

Less damage with a rigid paint scraper and tap with a hammer, go easy, lose the sledge.

Been a while since I had mine off but best I remember the deck sits on dow pins. Those are probably holding you up.

I have a good used axle and or housing if you need one.
