Im new to this site. This site kicks "ss. It seems to be a lot of knowledge on this site. I need with installing the original loader back on a 460 utility. The loader came with the tractor when new. I dont have any manuals for tractor. I just picked it up. I need to have some direction to install it. The frame bolting is easy, but there is a hoursee shoe piece with bulkhead hyd. fittings? Also how do you tell the difference between a HU and a Utility 460. Thanks for the help. I need it.

This is the Wagner 260 loader on my 460U.

The remote valves on my tractor have u-bolts and attach to a piece of tube or pipe (heavy wall) that comes up from the loader frame on the RH side of the tractor.

The hoses on mine are mostly shot. I pressure washed one side of the tractor recently with hydraulic oil when a hose gave out, and so a repair project is forthcoming with some more modern stuff.

You might want to look at your serial number plate, the "W" suffix should be the 17gpm hydraulic pump for loader use (as opposed to 12gpm standard). I also have the "Z" suffix which is the forward and reverse "shuttle shift" from any normal gear.

matt,
My loader has a large horseshoe shaped plate that has two hydraulic fittings on it? dont know where to mount horseshoe?
Thanks
Dave

Hi, sorry, not 100% sure. Can you post a picture of this part?

Does this have something to do with the remote or spool valves that hydraulically control the loader functions?

Or possibly a routing "block" for the piping to the loader cylinders?
