I need a new aftermarket range trans cover for 706 . Can you get one ? Cant find anyone to bush mine .

Where are you at I can get it done rather cheaply if you can get the lid here. I"m in Owosso MI or call me 989 413 5684. I can also bore it with a drill bit in the drill press then fit the bushing to the hole. Well if you want that to shift like new again just change it over to a 56 series shifter did it on an 806 boy what an improvement.
To change it over is not that big of a job either.

The advantage of going with a rebuilt cover from a from a reputable rebuilder is that they machine the hole for the bushing in the correct location rather than just using a drill bit and following the worn hole. When done properly the rebuilt cover is better than new. The bushing is steel rather than cast and, depending on the application, may have more wear surface than the original hole.

I m in S.E. IN. and I ve asked around but hav nt found anyone that has done it before and I dont want to be anybodys ginnypig ! I d rather just buy one .
