could someone tell me the model or number of a power steering unit for a farmall 404.

s char- lynn or other type.

Not sure if this is what you are after. The power
steering fluid for the Farmall 404 is supplied by the same pump that powers the hydraulic system
for the tractor. The fluid is first diverted to the power steering system before going to the hydraulic lift. This is from the shop manual.
There is a power unit on the 404 and a rotary valve on the 2404. There is no seperate power steering pump.
