I am rebuilding my Farmall 100 transmission and have the top cover with the shifter rails disassembled. Is the bend in the shifter supposed to be there. The shifter rod on my Super AV is shorter and does not have a bend. I was going to straighten it on a press, but wanted to check first. I welded the tip of the shaft to take up the excessive slop. The rebuild continues....

Just had a look at the 130 shifter and it's straight, no bend.

How are your drawbar studs and threads on the final drives? I'm going to have to heli-coil a couple of mine it looks like.

The threads on a couple of the studs are a little banged up. I might try to run a die over them to clean them up. I ran a tap thru the holes without studs and they don't seem too bad. I think they will hold a bolt fine. Thanks for looking at the shifter for me. Good luck with your final drives.

If you need any parts for your 100 i have them, i parted one out, and i have to verify again but i think the shifter is bent on it like yours, ill check again.

Dave: I believe you are correct, my SA, 130 and 140 have straight shift lever. I looked at two 100s last week and both had that bend in the lever.
