Farmall 240 hydraulics overheating??

I"ve got a 240 with 2 pt fast hitch that keeps on overheating the hydraulics. It heats up real quick too. Any ideas??

There's a restriction in the system. Where? That's tough to say... You're probably hearing a squeal or odd hum in the system, which indicates a restriction.

It could be a piece of crud caught in somewhere, or maybe the Tel-a-depth system for the fast hitch isn't working quite right.

It may be that you are not centering the lever. After painting my 240 U and installing the fender I didn't get the lever where it would center. It would actually boil the hydraulic fluid. David.............
