i"m puting the pistons in my A and i need to know how hard to torque the nuts down on the conecting rods.

Just from my memory I would say 45 #. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

thanks, now i just need a govanor bearing any idea on where to find one?

Which bearing? There's needle bearings (#45753D)on each end of the rockshaft, and there's the thrust bearing, a three-piece roller bearing(#55314D or #43481D), on the main shaft.

As far as I know, they're both still available from CaseIHNHFord.

If cotter pins are used my manual calls for 40-45 ft-lbs. If i self locking nuts are used its 43-49 ft-lbs. Hal
