Is there a market for a '38 F-20 partially restored?

I worked my tail off on this project. It's a '38, F-20 on full front and rear steel and it's a narrow tread. I have replaced or straightened nearly every piece. Most every small part has been cleaned straightened sanded and primered and they are wrapped in paper in boxes. I have replaced the 2 frame rails and the engine has new rings, everything is mic'd and it turns freely. The head was totally redone. Intake, blasted and cast painted. It's a great project for a serious restorer but due to 2 surgeries and a wrist injury I can no longer move the parts around to work on it. I am heartbroken but have no choice. Located in WA State. I have a hoist and can assist in loading. It also has shutters, good mag, and left and right brake levers. Some parts still need cleaned but most are done. Sheet metal has all been replaced. All new engine gaskets too. I have spent at least 4K on everything.
Is there any market for this?

You can find someone who will take on the project. Will you get your money back? Not usually on a restoration that detailed.

I have been looking for a narrow tread but with spoked wheels and tires and besides your way too far away for me. But to answer your question at least in my perspective--yes there is a market buuut I'm afraid you will do well to get $1500 in that condition. You might fair better by parting it out. Just a thought

Have to agree with Dave. I'm guessing you'll be doing good to get half your money back.

One thing for me is it's hard to verify all the itsy-bitsy pieces are there.

I was never expecting my money back. It was a labor of love.
I figured the steel was worth 5-700. I know the fronts are hard to get. The rest I could part for what it's worth but shipping is prohibitive for the larger parts.
I was thinking 1000 to 1500. I just hate to part something that is complete. It has a life left as far as I am concerned. I even bought the paint for it which sits in a box. Not farmall red though, I splurged on Corvette Red. I can still picture it going down the road.

I like your attitude. I do it for fun/education. If you want to throw in shipping...we got a deal. Seriously though, can't you come up with a single soul to help you finish your tractor? My wife and kids help me a lot. Any family, neighbors, kids (yours or not) who would share this with you? Personally, I wouldn't give up my projects unless they told me it was terminal...and mebbe not even then.

I am sure someone would want it. The first thing I would do is put it on Craigslist.

If no reasonable replies, Ebay is another possibility. But you then incur listing and final value fees if you use Ebay.

Do you have any old tractor clubs nearby? Maybe you could work a deal with a member to let them finish it, with a written agreement as to who is responsible for storage and upkeep on it.

My idea on this is that you would end up seeing it run again, possibly even retain ownership until your passing, at which time it would become property of the club. Hopefully that would be many years from now. Just some ideas. DOUG
