My neighbor has for sale her deceased husband"s 1948 CUB, no hydraulics, repaired block in the corner, Standard seat, no drawbar, has a woods 42 mower deck, 2 new rear tires, needs 1 front tire, runs great, What would be a good price to offer her for it?

The front corner block repair is a real value killer on cubs. $1000 would be a lot for that tractor.

to what BD said. No Touch Control is a drawback unless you want a bare 48, no drawbar is a drawback, tire isn't all that expensive depending on where you get it, positives are the 2 new rears and the Woods 42 deck. Either way, probably still about a fair deal between $750.00 to $1,000.00 depending on the condition of the rest of the tractor.

There is a good workaround for the broken ear, but it does cost a bit. Doesn't fix the problem, just helps the block last longer under reasonable use.

I paid $750.00 for a 55 Cub with a complete Fast Hitch, Cub 54, Cub F-38, F-194 and a Cub F-144 along with a pile of other stuff in Ohio.. It didn't have a cracked ear on the block or any cracks on the block at all. So, all depends I guess.
