I posted a photo in stuck & troubled of a 10-20 that is in my son-in laws yard in WY. I need to find a head gasket so I can check it out. The tractor is complete except the mag coupling, and the wheels are good. It hasn't ran in at least 40 years and the gas tank has a bullet hole in it. I couldnt find any cracks on the out side of the engine but the mices have moved into the two center cylinders. Any questions or info on 10-20s will be appreciated. kfox

Search the archives for posts by myself and you will find many questions that have been answered by the experts on this site. I ordered many normal parts from the fordson house and any difficult motor parts from alderson tractor.

I just got my 1927 running and fully restored after 1 1/2 years. Starting on my 1925 as we speak

Rice Equipment ((814) 226-9200 has 10-20 parts also. In addition, Gordon has worked on 10-20s and can answer most questions.

If it is the old style coupling, a piece of 1 or 1.5" pipe can be fashioned to work. Just use a hacksaw & file to cut a notch in one side. Cut dogs on the opposite side at 90 degrees. Sorry I don't have a photo.

Here's your 10-20. Looks pretty good for being outside for 40 years. Hal

Man! It"s got steel wheels and looks pretty much intact. Every time I go to a show, I shake my head at all the old 20s and 30s tractors that had their steels cut off. I know, they were a lot more efficient AND comfortable with rubber, and if I had been a farmer in the 30s, I"d have cut "em off too. Drove several IH tractors that had been converted, and 3 that had not, so I know how much better rubber tires make the tractor (ups the power to the wheels by a LOT--an F-20 on 36" rubber will pull 2 14s at almost 4 mph in second, up from about 3 mph on steel).
Anyway, keep us posted and show us some pix.
