I was wondering what size disc I should get for my H. it runs really good but I wouldnt say like new :D
10' too much? I dont want to really strain it(her)

one thing to cinsider it weather you want a cutting or a pulverizing disc, Cutting dick has a wider space between the blades IE; 6' 7' 8' 9'

ok found a guy w/ just a manure ton of farm equipment...like 30 archers of anthing you can ask for, ok on price too. what one do you think

A:allen disc 6' really good discs, frame has had some real home brew fixing/ welding $250

B: IH 8' ok discs frame is really nice $300

C:IH 7' good disc(not as good as A, 1" better than B) frame is ok not as good as B but better than A $300

I'm new to this what should I look for in a disc?

Guess there's some "depends" here. I used to pull a 1929 IHC double 7' disk with two different H's. The disk originally came with a 10-20 on steel, which could pull the disk in plowed ground only in second. The H, which is supposed to be in the same power category, did exactly the same thing, second gear only in freshly plowed ground.
My "depends" has to do with modern disks, which may have taller disks, cut more, need more power.
Of course it also depends on how rank a cut you try to take with any disk.
Anyway, 7' is probably right. Smaller would not give the tractor much of a load, but you might be able to move faster.
In rough ground, going faster might be hard on the implement. Ten foot disk was considered normal load for an M way back when.
